Pentaho Business Intelligence Suite product supports data mining, extraction, and reporting. A Java based OSS product is very comprehensive and requires very minimal training. As a component of the BI Suite, the Pentaho Report Designer (PRD) is a desktop application that provides a visual design environment to create report definitions. The report definitions can be executed and saved locally via PRD or published to a Pentaho BI Server to allow many people to access and schedule report execution.

A customer required data validation and auditing to ensure it's back office processing was free of errors. With no in-house IT support staff to support database reporting, we elected to use the Pentaho BI products.

The sample report is made available for execution through the Tomcat application server.
